PROGRAM INFORMATION
Program Description: For incoming international freshmen students who graduated from high school outside of the U.S. and will hold a temporary visa/status in the U.S. The scholarship is based on academic merit, compelling aspirations, and promise of success at the university. Awards vary according to high school grades, English proficiency scores, and other standardized national, regional and international examinations such as: ACT, SAT, Cambridge International Examination (CIE), General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE), College Scholastic Aptitude Test (CSAT), College Entrance Examination (China), and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE). Please note: submission of all required documents does not guarantee a scholarship award.

Eligibility Requirements
Requirements 1: Academic Excellence Scholarship: requires cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.00 (or higher) on high school credentials, and minimum 6.00 IELTS; 79 IBT; 53 PTE-A. Applicant must be a "freshman."
Requirements 2: Scholarships are competitive and award decisions are made by a scholarship committee. The committee will award scholarships based on the academic credentials of the overall applicant pool.
Requirements 3: If an International Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded, the scholarship is renewable for 3 additional years provided the student maintains a 3.00 cumulative GPA at the University of Mississippi and remains in valid legal standing in the U.S.
Requirements 4: Other standardized national, regional and international examinations include: ACT, SAT, Cambridge International Examination (CIE), General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), West African School Certificate Examination (WASCE), College Scholastic Aptitude Test (CSAT), College Entrance Examination (China), and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).
